Rusty and romantic

I would like to show you an altered big initial where I mixed some romantic and rusty elements. These opposite feateres and its blue colour are dedicated to a little boy.

Family secrets

Today I would like to present you a wooden shadowbox on family secrets. I decorated it with portrait badges, which cast a vintage spell on me.

Dzisiaj pragnę Wam zaprezentować drewniany shadowbox poświęcony sekretom rodzinnym. Udział wzięły portretowe badziki, które kuszą vintagowym klimatem.

świąteczne lampiony - xmas tea lights

Witam, dzisiaj chcę Wam pokazać jak można zrobić świąteczne lampiony.

Hello, today I want to show you how to make a Christmas tea lights. 

 

Najedź kursorem myszki aby zapalić świeczki. Mouse over to light candles.

Potrzebne będą:
- słoiczki,
- kalka,
- stemple 3rd Eye,
- tusz pigmentowy biały i czerwony,
- puder do embosingu,
- sznurek,
- tekturki,
- ew. perełki w płynie.

What you'll need:

- jars,

- tracing paper,

- 3rd Eye's winter stamps,

- pigment ink white and red,

- embosing powder,

- string,

- 3rd Eye's chipboards ,

- liquid pearls.

Wykonanie jest bardzo proste! Z kalki wycinamy lub wyrywamy kawałek odpowiedni do wysokości słoiczka, a następnie stemplujemy tuszem pigmentowym i nakładamy embosing na gorąco. Owijamy słoiczek gotową kalką i dowolnie ozdabiamy. Takimi własnoręcznie wykonanymi lampionikami ocieplam sobie grudniowe wieczory :)

This is a very simple project!   You need to cut or tear a piece of tracing paper suitable to the height of the jar, and then stamp with snowflakes stamps by covering them with a white embossing powder. Wrap the jar of ready tracing paper and freely decorate. Such hand-made lanterns warming my December nights :)

Recipe book and sneak peek...* Przepiśnik i zapowiedź...

I had lots of printed and written recipes, total mess, on my room, on the kitchen... so I finally made a recipe book, I altered old binder. Od dłuższego czasu przepisy (zarówno wydrukowane z sieci, jak i te nabazgrane na kawałkach papieru) upychałam w pudełku, przyczepiałam do lodówki, wciskałam gdzieś miedzy książki kulinarne... ale w końcu trzeba je było ogarnąć ;) Zdecydowałam się na segregator.

Steampunk Guest Spot

Hello!
We are Sandra and Claudia, better known as SanDee1899 and "die amelie", and we have started running our Steampunk challenge blog this March, after we had been searching for Steampunk challenges that would fit our styles in vain. And we are so happy about how our "baby" develops! Each month we get awesome projects entries down the lane from wonderfully talented crafters/artists  and wonderful guest designers too ;)

This month our challenge theme is 

Underwater

and - as is the case with most of our challenges - we offer two separate collections: one for 2D and one for 3D projects, as we find them hard to compare when it comes to choose our Top3. The winner of our prizes are drawn randomly and we have been so lucky to have awesome prize sponsors from the very beginning and we thank all of them for being with us on that adventurous trip! :)

SanDee1899

I have a long history in cute stamping and cute creations. I found cute always very limiting until I found non cute stamps and non-cute Projects. The range of non-cute works of art seems to be endless, such a lot of opportunities. Non-cute work is always so unique and in my opinion it feels like “real art”!

I love Steampunk because it is non-cute art.  

I love Steampunk because it has no limits. You can use any kind of paint, any kind of technique - everything is possible. Creating Steampunk projects did help to develop my art skills and I started to become curious to learn more... new techniques and using new tools and so on.  

I am also deeply in love with the Victorian time for example year 1899 (as it is my WWW name SanDee1899) such a lot of invention done in the 19^th Century. Isn´t it impressive?  I love gears and mechanisms and I love the manner in that time and the behavior. I do love to read books from this (my favorite) century such as from Jane Austen.  I definitely would love to have a closer look in the 19^th Century if I would have a Time Machine with which I could travel to England in the year of 1899.

Hi and "servus",

I am "die amelie" and some of you may already know me for doing mainly timeworn, Tim Holtz style and Steampunk projects. I especially love Steampunk as I love the Victorian age and illustrations from that time - having played a lot of pen and paper roleplaying games that have their settings with this historic period. I also love everything mechanical, gears, the look of metal and also rust and machines created by more or less crazy inventors ;)



I love using metal finish embossing powders with my Steampunk creations, imitating rust in various ways, creating texture and depth using gears and rough surfaces and combining all of that with old delicate engravings of that period....all of this being veeery suitable for a Steampunk look. So this is why I feel most at home with Steampunk. I also like the warm red and brown rust colour tones in combination with some metal shine. Steampunk and Mixed Media go together so well! As I am no clean and simple crafter at all (because I simply cannot do clean and simple ;) Steampunk is my perfect playground.

goodbye from Justi

Nothing is as constant in our life as changes and something has to finish that would be something else to start.

Today is the one of my last days in DT of 3^rd Eye. It was six fantastic months. Full of fun from discovering, creating, looking for and inspiration.

I met here, in this place amazing people. Girls who were in DT, very talented and full of passion for art.  The stamps's funs and followers who gave a lot of positive energy in comments and always were with us. And very professional Captain-Dryszka for whom I always could count, who supported us, managed everything and created very friendly atmosphere.

For all those things and each single minute spent here with you I would like to say thank you!

I don’t want to say goodbye. I’m saying “see you next time” ;)

I’m staying with you here of course! In different role, as 3rd Eye stamps lover.

I’m sure that this time in this, extraordinary place will stay in my heart forever.

Nic w życiu nie jest tak stałe jak zmiany i aby mogło się zacząć coś nowego musi się coś skończyć.

Dziś jest jeden z moich ostatnich dni jako projektantki dla 3rd Eye. To było fantastyczne sześć miesięcy. Pełne radości z odkrywania, poszukiwania, tworzenia i inspiracji.

Spotkałam tutaj niesamowitych ludzi. Dziewczyny z naszego zespołu projektantek, niezwykle utalentowane i pełne pasji do sztuki. Sympatyków stempli, którzy dawali mi wiele pozytywnej energi i motywacji w komentarzach i zawsze byli z nami. I bardzo profesjonalnego Kapitana-Dryszkę, na którą mogłam liczyć w każdej sytuacji i która wspierała nas , wszystko sprawnie organizowała i stworzyła bardzo przyjazną atmosferę.

Za to wszystko oraz za każdą minutę spędzoną tutaj chciałam serdecznie podziękować.

Nie chcę powiedzieć „żegnajcie”. Mówię „do zobaczenia” ;)

Zostaję tutaj z Wami oczywiście! W innej roli, jako miłośnik stempli 3rd Eye.

Jestem w stu procentach pewna, że czas spędzony w tym wyjątkowym miejscu na zawsze pozostanie w moim sercu.
